Why GBC believes in Sunday School...
GBC believes that it is the duty of any church to help its members to grow in Christ and to know how to use their Bibles for everyday life. Jesus commanded us to "go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19 & 20 NIV) Too many churches nowadays focus on feelings without teaching what it means to live out your faith to become like Jesus Christ. This can create a weak dependent faith.
Meets Weekly - Join us at 9:45 AM every Sunday!
Every week you learn to grow spiritually and to apply what you learn in a intimate small group setting. Each week builds on the preceding week's lesson. You do not just "learn" about the Bible, you learn how to apply it to your life where you are.
Age Appropriate
Each class is age level appropriate. Preschoolers are taught biblical concepts; children more in-depth Scripture application; youth are taught life application, biblical and Baptist doctrine; and adults are taught age appropriate lifestyle application with biblical and Baptist doctrinal study. Each class includes enjoyable activities, discussion, with a "safe" and friendly place to ask and learn.
Trained Teachers
Every class has teachers that have been through training that applies to the ages they teach. They have had instruction in lesson planning, application, doctrinal, and biblical studies. Why not come and join us for Bible Study this coming Sunday morning?
